Meet The Rest of Our Diverse Women Leaders

Big plans are underway for our first promotional event on September 12th. As mentioned in my June blog, we have partnered with Cineplex Entertainment to showcase our Diverse Women Leaders in two sessions. I introduced some of them last month. Now I would like you to get to know the rest of these dynamic women.

Ayanna Sealey is a mental performance coach who was a triple threat performer - dancer, actor and singer. Now she shares her decades of experience in her presenations to help others reach new heights. Ayanna is a double threat at FKB Media as she is also one of our Find An Experts and has been featured on Breakfast Television and CP24 Breakfast. Speaking of media, former journalist Jennifer Singh will be showcasing her PR skills and breaking down how to get media coverage. Jennifer is the CEO of She’s Newsworthy Media and delves into amplifying diverse women’s voices in the digital age. Another former media personality on the roster is Elissa Landsdell She is now a sought-after coach and trainer helping corporate leaders around the world bring their knowledge, ideas and expertise to life for their audiences in a way that engages and inspires.

On the financial tip, Hadriana Leo and Eduek Brooks are experts who help women get their money right. Hadriana is the founder of Money Navigator™ International and the author of Becoming a Wealthy Woman on Purpose. Hadriana shares her signature method used to help women build their financial confidence, identify their most aligned wealth-building strategies, accelerate their results, and prepare for the next stage of wealth. Eduek uses her own personal journey of climbing out of debt to relate to her audiences. She has been featured in the Toronto Star and Global News talking about how she got out of nearly $50 000 worth of debt and how to save money through couponing respectively. I can’t wait to hear these two financial powerhouses speak.

Vera Cheng is a registered social worker, psychotherapist, seasoned speaker, and the founder of Talk Therapy with Vera. She is also a leading expert on anti-Asian racism. Vera brings her own vulnerability to her presentation with her personal challenges with anxiety and mental health. Colleen James runs Divonify - a company leading transformative change workshops and corporate training that addresses systemic racism, oppression, anti-Black racism and inclusive leadership. Based in Kitchener, she is the councillor representing the city for the Region of Waterloo. Needless to say, Colleen knows her stuff! Her work in the DEI space has been groundbreaking. Now if you are on social media, you need to check out Dr. Nekessa Remy - an injury prevention expert, corporate wellness consultant and TV health and wellness expert. She is the chiropactor that cares and specializes in wellness at work. You will enjoy her presentation and get some useful tips on how to sit right at work. Rounding up our Diverse Women Leaders is Lavinia Latham - a human rights lawyer with a passion for justice, fairness, and equality. Expect her to drop some golden nuggets at the speaker showcase that will blow your mind. And then there is Dr. Leonie Brown, an educator and author who is focused on Leadership, Advocacy, and Social Equity for BIPOC Communities. She passionately discusses her book, Unbelieve It: Discover How to Unpack Your Myths and Unleash Your Gifts, targeting Black women and women of colour. However, her message resonates with anyone affected by systemic or personal myths and lies.

Once again, I encourage bookers, HR professionals, event planners, conference planners and anyone in search of vibrant solid speakers to check out our Find A Speaker page (which also has our male speakers) and to sign-up for the Speaker Showcase on September 12th. Space is limited and filling up fast!
