It Was Time For A Refresh - So I Called Margot!

When I decided to start my business four years ago, I needed to get some business photos. I didn’t have a website as yet, but after much convincing, I decided to set one up (not this one) and needed photos.

A friend and media colleague that I’ve known for years was beginning to explore a new passion - photography. She offered to take my photos at no cost so that she could get some practice. In hindsight, she didn’t need much practice because I loved the photos she took and actually have a few of them framed and hanging on my walls.

Margot Daley is a producer by trade, but has become a photographer extraordinaire. She has turned her passion into a business and when I decided to freshen up my photos, I immediately thought of her. I think it’s important to support those who support you. Margot has always been a cheerleader in my television career and side projects. She is a wealth of knowledge and shares it generously and without hesitation. She also knows how to make you feel comfortable posing in the middle of a downtown street and is able to capture your essence. You’ll see that in all my photos!

As a businessperson, it’s important that you have photos readily available - I speak about that in my workshops to professionals who want to be viewed as experts. You need to have a set of professional headshots, half-shots and full body shots. Personally, I speak on panels all the time, and I’m always asked for a headshot to use for social media and marketing. If you want to get media coverage, you need to have professional photos. You should have a professional photo on your website and social media profiles. This is an investment in your business - and it is a business expense you can write off.

So what are you waiting for? Head to Margot Daley’s website and book a session now!
