Going BIG on My YouTube Shorts

If you’ve been reading my blogs, you know that I’m a reluctant social media participant. It’s not the posting that’s a problem, it’s putting myself out there…you know…on video. This may be surprising to some as I have dozens of IG video posts (although I’ve stopped doing reels) and, of course, I have my YouTube Channel. I recognized about a year after I started my business that not only were my initials in my company name, but I, personally, am the brand. I have gotten a bit more comfortable with being on camera - afterall I am a behind-the-scenes producer by trade - but I don’t think I’ll ever be truly at ease. So I’m embracing my discomfort once again.

Enter YouTube Shorts - the bite-size videos on YouTube similar to IG reels. I’ve decided take another kick at the can. I’ve started posting weekly bits that help viewers who want to learn about publciity, branding and getting their message to their audience. I’m hoping that by posting on this platform I will reach a wider audience - most people don’t realize that YouTube is the most popular social media platform and it is a good tool to give you or our brand visibility. With 3.9 billion monthly active users, approximately 47.5% of the world’s population uses YouTube at least once per month.

I’m planning to make it a mix of top tips, fun videos and useful insights. The best part for the viewer is that all this good stuff is free (minus your own personal data plan lol). Now my challenge is getting people to watch, like and share as the saying goes. I am featuring the videos in my biweekly newsletter - The Exclusive, my IG and LinkedIN platforms. And I am hoping that if you are reading this, you’ll check it out on your preferred platform and watch, like and share:)

I know I’ll never be the next Gary Vee, but I’m dipping my foot in the short pool and I’d love for you jump in with me on this next social media journey. Just subscribe Here - it’s that easy!
