A Positive Spin in A Time of Crisis

No one was ready for how COVID-19 would change life as we know it. Locked in, working from home, learning from home under the pressure of a changing news cycle and the anxiety of the unknown. Fitness Expert and Youth Worker Kym Niles has the tools in her toolbox to help the world relieve some of the mental and physical stress that has dropped on us like a tonne of bricks. She was already motivating her followers on Instagram with her quick exercises to encourage mobility and movement. Before the outbreak, she had appeared on Breakfast Television to demonstrate simple techniques to get active in 2020 and make exercise a part of one’s daily life. Once the pandemic was official and life basically got cancelled, we pivoted to expand her pitches to media outlets to include exercises that the whole family could do since everyone was now at home (see below) as well as mental health advice to help navigate this new world order (G98.7FM’s Grapevine interview). As a result, she will now be doing weekly Breakfast Television Wednesday Workouts for BT’s 84K followers on Instagram. This is a difficult time for everyone, but there are ways to manage it that will reduce the anxiety, build your immune system and keep you and your family occupied in a positive way. Check out Kym’s IG Feed and website for lots of great advice and fun, inspiring videos.
